Randy VerPloeg has been actively selling real estate in The Woodlands and surrounding areas since 2001. Randy is originally from Michigan and attended Michigan State University where he received a B.A. degree in Advertising.
Prior to a real estate career, Randy worked in the newspaper and magazine industry as an advertising executive, and also as a commercial loan officer for a major mortgage company based in The Woodlands. Randy is the past owner of two commercial apartment complexes in the Houston/Baytown area.
Randy has been awarded the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, which is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. The Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors who meets the specified educational and practical experience criteria representing buyers awards this coveted designation to real estate practitioners. Randy has also received the GRI designation from the Texas Association of Realtors.
Randy has been a consistent multi-million dollar producer throughout his real estate career. Randy is an experienced agent in both residential and commercial real estate, specializing in golf course properties, and buyer representation.
Randy is a past president of the Optimist Club in Baytown and worked with the Houston Golf Association as an HGA member for 11 years.
Randy is married to Debi VerPloeg, who is the Assistant Director of Children of The Woodlands, a Methodist preschool in The Woodlands. They have lived in The Woodlands since 1992 and have 2 children. Their daughter is a graduate of Texas Christian University (TCU) and also has a Masters degree in clinical psychology. Their son attends Baylor University and studies engineering.

The Woodlands, TX is one of the nation’s leading master planned communities located within the Houston metroplex. The Woodlands is located approximately 30 miles north of Houston along Interstate 45. To reduce traffic flow the Hardy Toll road is a popular roadway connecting The Woodlands to downtown. The Woodlands began as a suburban development, but has attracted many major corporations to the area. The most notable campuses are Anardarko Petroleum, CB&I, Chevron Phillips, Hewitt Associates, and US Oncology. The region is expecting a huge boost when the Exxon Mobil Corporation opens its headquarters in 2015 just south of The Woodlands in Spring, TX.
The 28,000 acre tract of land where The Woodlands is situated was previously occupied by the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Mill and are the namesakes for the Grogan’s Mill and Cochran’s Crossing neighborhoods, known as “villages”.
